The Pursuit of Excellence in Advocacy

Jade practises primarily in commercial, employment and taxation law. He holds a Bachelor of Laws from Queensland University of Technology (QUT) and is the first Samoan barrister in Queensland. Jade is committed to delivering practical, strategic and effective advocacy, underpinned by thorough preparation and a commercial understanding of his clients' objectives.

Before transitioning to the Bar, Jade gained experience across both private practice and the tribunal jurisdiction. He served as an Associate at the Fair Work Commission, where he worked closely on a broad range of employment and industrial matters. This role provided valuable insight into tribunal processes, decision-making and the practical resolution of workplace disputes.

Jade also practised in the Corporate and Commercial team at Avant Law, where he advised on a wide range of commercial and transactional matters. His work included drafting and negotiating commercial agreements, advising on business structures and transactions, and assisting medical practitioners with establishing and operating private practices. He regularly advised healthcare professionals on the legal and regulatory issues associated with practice ownership, including contractual arrangements, governance and payroll tax considerations.

Drawing on this diverse experience, Jade offers clients practical, commercially focused advice together with effective advocacy. He is committed to building strong relationships with instructing solicitors and delivering clear, responsive and strategic representation across all matters within his areas of practice.
